Suomen Pyöräilyn hallitus on päättänyt 15.10.2026 kokouksessaan:

UCI Urban Cycling World Championships in Riyadh, including the Trials and BMX Freestyle Park and Flatland events 03.-07.11.2026

Johtuen alueen epävakaasta poliittisesta ja sotilaallisesta tilanteesta ja halusta varmistaa maajoukkueen urheilijoiden ja henkilöstön turvallisuus Suomen Pyöräily Ry:n hallitus päättänyt, että Suomi ei osallistu kisoihin mikäli ne pidetään Saudi-Arabiassa.

In light of the prevailing political and military instability in the region, and with the safety and well-being of national team athletes and staff as its highest priority, the Board of the Finnish Cycling Federation has resolved that Finland will not participate in the championships should they take place in Saudi Arabia.
